Pam was born May 6, 1961 in Charleston, Illinois, the daughter of the late Pete and Marjorie (Kuhn) Grubb. She married Edward Warpenburg on September 18, 1982 at the Charleston First Christian Church. In addition to her loving and devoted husband of nearly 35 years, she is survived by a daughter, Erin (Warpenburg) Chester of Charleston; two sisters, Sandra Taylor and husband Howard of Hernando, Mississippi and Brenda Ely of Mt. Carmel, Illinois; two brothers, Phillip Grubb of Charleston and Mark Grubb, Sr. and wife Debbie of Paris, Illinois; aunts and uncles which include Ruth and David Myers and Marian Dust, all of Effingham, Illinois, Gloria Dreher of Oakwood, Illinois and Oscar and Susan Grubb of Denver, Colorado; numerous nieces and nephews; and Disney, her canine friend and companion.
Pam was a graduate of Westfield High School and furthered her education at Lake Land College and attained a Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Illinois University where she was employed for 23 years.
To say that Pam was a H-U-G-E fan of Disney would definitely be an understatement and she might hold a record having visited Disney World at least 60 times. With Christmas being her favorite holiday a large part of her Disney memorabilia was used in her Christmas decorating. She also put her Hallmark Gold Crown Member Rewards to good use buying the numerous ornaments used to decorate the many trees in their home that remained decorated year round.
Pam was an extremely gifted musician and wonderful pianist who shared her musical ability through giving lessons to others. She enjoyed going out to eat, loved traveling and often enjoyed short car rides around the area with Ed – and of course Disney! Pam was ecstatic to be able to spend time with her siblings and other family members. They enjoyed simple things like watching television game shows together and playing board games and cards.
Pam was dearly loved and memories of her will always be cherished by her family and friends.
